ITALIAN THEATER IN NEW YORK CITY

At Theatre for the New City 155 First Avenue, at 10th Street, new Italian playwrights are being presented to the public for free at 8:00PM for two weeks, Monday through Wednesday.The newest found talent is Davide Morganti, a playwright from Napoli. Some of the pieces are in Italian some also in English. The added pleasure of a Mario Fratti play, Trio, a musical, at the Theatre, is just that. Here are the future schedules:

TUESDAY OCTOBER 12 AT 8:00PM. Celeste e Galileo, by Marcello Lazzarini, directed by Laura Caparroti.A play on Galileo and his daughter Celeste.

WEDNESDAY OCTOBER 13 AT 8:00PM. Il trovacadaveri, by Davide Morganti (in English). Man paid to collect washed ashore dead bodies of immigrants to Italy.
