What are two White Supremacists doing at a screening of The Help and at the first day of The Debt?

Well, I thought I'd finally see the blockbuster and so did this couple in the row in front of me: he, a baseball-cap-wearing kind of dude, with an American flag waving in the wind of his cellphone screen;she, a submissive quiet-toned dudette with a boyish-short hair cut. So anyway, in a scene when the discussion is about the means to build a for-coloreds-only outhouse for a couple of White Supremacists who can afford a domestic worker at Segregationist prices but not house additions, I groan, and then see the short haircut turn to profile, searching for whoever emitted the sound. I felt, hey, my feelings are being squelched for no good reasons,I'm not loud, she must have radar, but said nothing. At another particularly grueling scene, I groan again. A "Shh!"comes out. At another, the profile pops again, I ask what is it, she answers something as to me having to be quiet, I say shut up and that's a wrap. After that the entire theater started groaning (loudly), making indignant noises (loudly), laughing(loudly), sniffling(not too loudly), one laugh precipitating another, and another, all reactions over the sound. No one said anything when a character was asked what she thought of whites, the answer a silent not much. All, except the social engineering haircut profile who looked at me again, to see if what she thought I might not know might kill me.

As for The Debt, only the main outside theatre sign listed it. At the box office, there were no signs, no showing hours, this on opening day, and the ticket seller gave me a ticket for the wrong time. When I went into the unmarked projection room, there was a faint smell of insecticide, which two women in the crowd commented about. Old habits die hard.

Bachmann and Divine Portents

If it's god text messaging us through Bachmann to cut government spending by sending us an earthquake and a hurricane, what's the devil to do?
Liberal Democracy and Multiculturalism

How are the two mutually exclusive? If one begins from the premise that we are all equal, how does multiculturalism mean the upholding of bigoted and racist beliefs of one culture above all others? How is multiculturalism not the work of constructing the possibility for multiple strata of cultures to work together on an equal standing of inclusiveness? Isn't a qualitative evaluation favoring one culture over another oppressive, and, regardless of intentions, isn't disregarding the fluidity of different strata of cultural identity typical of immigration, even generational, an inaccuracy?

The Republican, who I've mentioned as backing a law proposing tax breaks for U.S. veterans is also part of a congressional committee that investigates American Muslim support of terrorism.

Virginia Thomas and Health Care

Virginia Thomas, Supreme Court Clarence Thomases' wife, also a lawyer, is busy fighting Obama's health care bill by declaring all health care anti-constitutional.

If economic disparity doesn't allow equal coverage to guarantee one's well being, or life, how is universal health coverage not constitutional?

But then again, her husband offers pornography and tales of coke and sex to his women aides, believes that equal opportunity is a ploy by an elite, thinks that proceedings against him for the Anita Hill case (Biden led the Commission and refused to hear additional witnesses) took place because people consider him an "uppity black man", lies sprawled in his chair when hearing a case, has been silent for years, not participating by asking questions, is confused enough to have pictures of Lincoln, Reagan and Thatcher in his chambers and not only, thinks that the disparity between individuals and corporations is constitutional and believes that Ye Old Towne Williamsburg Virginia is not a theme park, but the true expression of the Constitution of the United States.

What this really means: He really wanted to forget to declare his wife's income for tax purposes, because he's allergic to Woodrow Wilson (the inspirator of the constitutional amendment promulgating income taxes , and also a President who gave legitimacy to a people's right to have a country, and not be dominated by an empire: what's next for this Tea Partier who officiated one of Rush Limbaugh's weddings and is good friends with the rabid racist?)

All this and other goodies in the August 29, 2011 New Yorker, or Annals of Law, Partners: Will Clarence and Virginia Thomas succeed in killing Obama's health-care plan? , by Jeffrey Toobin.
Bush's 9/11 Interview

The President had given orders to shoot any commercial airplane that did not land when ordered to. Imagine if the occasion would have risen. The people on the flight that fell in Pennsylvania fought for their life, and lost. About last year, in Italy an Alitalia stewardess was held hostage in flight by a man with a knife. The passengers were luckier, they managed to disarm the hijacker.
Lockerbie bomber will not be deported by Libyan rebel government.

" We will not hand over any Libyan citizen. It was Ghadafy who handed over Libyan citizens" is what the rebel's Justice Minister Mohammed al-Alagi said when asked if he would allow the Lockerbie bomber to be deported to the United States. The Libyan terrorist, supported also by Ghadafy, had already been tried in Scotland and was found guilty. He was then released on claims he had cancer and was to die within months.

Union News, or Don't Waste Time Mourning, Organize.

After the Common Retirement Fund, currently worth 146.5 billion, dipped to 110 billion in March 2009 and no deposits were made for years because the returns from stock market investments were sooo good, there's been an increase in employer's contribution to New York's pension fund. Now local governments will pay 18.9% of employee salary to the Retirement Fund for 2012-2013, an increase from 16.3%. They'll pay 25.8% of Police and Firefighter's salaries. Before it was 21.6%.

New York's Atlantic Beach lifeguards are fighting to have their lunch hour paid, also since they rarely take it off and eat their lunch on the stands. Mayor Stephen Mahler said the issue is not debatable due to its closeness to the end of the season, and the lack of numbers in beach goers, but next year there'll be talk of salary increases based on seniority and merit.

Labor groups will no longer contribute to the Democratic Party as a whole. They will endorse individual candidates.

A new biography on Industrial Workers of the World (Wobblies) organizer Joe Hill ( Joel Hagglund), written by William M. Adler has new evidence that Hill did not murder a grocer he was framed and sentenced to death for. From the New York Times article in today's paper, Examining a Labor Hero's Death, false witnesses were coached to claim Hill was on the site of the murder, and the grandson of the murdered grocer said:

"Joe Hill was the one who murdered our grandfather and destroyed the economy of our family."

Rick Perry, who as the Republican Governor of Texas is responsible for 234 executions, even more than George W. Bush, hell, more than anybody, as a Democrat organized Al Gore's run for the Presidency in Texas.

Cheney and waterboarding.

In his new autobiography, Dick Cheney, Geoge W. Bush's Vice President, still supports waterboarding, which that administration authorized the CIA to use against insurgents. The torture is no longer in practice. Indifferent to world wide sanctions against it, Cheney is still convinced that torture doesn't lead the tortured to say absolutely anything to get it to stop, but extracts the truth, nothing but the truth, only the truth.
Government shoots down tax breaks for businesses hiring veterans

Steve Israel, a Democrat from New York Dix Hills proposed a package that offered up to $9,600 in tax breaks for businesses hiring veterans.

Peter King, another New York politician, a Republican from Seaford, proposed a tax cut of $5,000.

Both legislative packages were nixed on specifics.

Incremental income tax and you

Isn't not using incremental criteria in taxation based on income discrimination?

Huh?
Florida Governor Rick Scott passed legislation to drug test people just for receiving welfare.

What this means: I feel like discriminating against the poor and wasting government money on needless drug tests. Who'll stop me, the Feds?
Santorum and Gay Marriage

Well, hell Santorum, if gay marriage equiparates to heterosexual marriage as paper napkins do to paper towels, they're both paper. So that means marriage of anybody to anybody is a celebration of an intimate equal union between people on so many levels. How can it be even vaguely compared to bestiality incest and polygamy where the interaction is not only unequal, but oppressive and harmful?

And, while we're at it, how is marriage only about sexual contact?

MoMA refuses to return Nazi pillaged Grosz works to the family of the painter.

As a $20.00 entrance fee charging museum, the MoMA takes advantage of a filing time limitation law and a Supreme Court not so comfortable in opposing State Law to deny the rightful proprietorship of some of George Grosz' paintings and a watercolor to his son and daughter. The works, identified as stolen by the painter in a letter, were so from a Jewish art dealer by Nazis or a Nazi sympathizer. The art dealer escaped Nazi Germany and died without any money in England in 1938, four years after Grosz had escaped the regime for the United States.

What this really means: We had to get U.S. citizens over to Europe to fight WWII somehow.

This the response I received after sending an email saying I would no longer use them as a company if they didn't respect the Unions'requests. And they support the Tea Party.

This while the President has his base arrested for opposing a pipeline. After all, where else do we have to go? Again, check out www.michaelmoore.com for more info.

Monday, August 22, 2011

Obama has 162 people arrested for protesting a pipeline outside the White House. They were urging him to stop it.

What it means really: Who's the Hope president now?

Story at: www.michaelmoore.com
Most of the people in this country don't want Social Security cut at all, and believe in the program. So why not require an incremental contribution based on income to fund Social Security, so as not to cut funds to those who need that income the most? While employees gained one thousand dollars, Social Security recipients lost cost of living increases for two consecutive years. Employers gained the most.So while employees had more money to spend and not save, Social Security recipients lost all around. This structure penalizes those who have a lower income instead of charging more from those who can afford more.
Life is a delicate balance- whose ethical values are formed by narrowing the difference between what it means to be human and the greater good of all. When a life is lived well, it's a beautiful dance between those two points. When a life is lived with justice the divide between the two is nearly imperceptible.

When Huntsman speaks of a center right country, he's speaking to a constituency. It's his duty to bring those lives into full fruition by having people understand what center right means versus the Tea Party and extreme right aficionados. As a country, I see us much more to the left of the center right.

Happy Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial day.
The Tea Party Strikes Again and it's at the Local Library (shouldn't they be burning them down?)

See the post titled The Attack of the Tea Partier (August 19 2011 ) to understand this post better. Here it goes:

Some time ago two men were debating President Obama, and how displeased they were with him. They mentioned that he was doing Wall Street's business. Well, wouldn't you know it? One of the men who was participating in that conversation knew and spoke to the Tea Party fan with Klan affiliations, also at the library but at the computer.

Doesn't this put an interesting twist on bashing Wall Street?

I could think of the nasty ramifications of complaining about the President taking a vacation or being compared to a dessert by Rush Limbaugh. But then again, it's so small.

Social Security Disability Benefits to end in 2017

MSNBC reports that at the current rate, Social Security Disability benefit funds will end in 2017. Congress needs to get busy. Also, more people have been applying for the benefits, since it seems that the disabled are the first to go from jobs when it's firing time (!).

Here are practical approaches:

1) For new Stimulus or any Federal and State anything, even for the privilege of paying taxes, insure that a certain percentage of disabled people are hired.

2) If one disabled person can't do the job completely, hire another person to help. While you're at it, cut full time to 20 hours a week, at the same pay for 40 hours, and hire another person for the other 20. That should contribute to end unemployment.

No joke.

The Attack of the Tea Partier

You think only Michele Bachmann infiltrates entities like the I.R.S.? We have a Tea Partier who gets his jollies by carrying a Whole Foods canvas shopping bag to the local library.

Yesterday I was waiting for the library to open and saw a graying sixty year old tall man by the doors, carrying the Whole Foods bag. I struck up a conversation, asking him if he shopped there. We discussed locations, the Bowery store being the cheapest in my opinion, but the one he favored was at Union Square, since there is also an open air market there that sold organic garlic which I was supposed to smell on his breath at a distance of 6 feet. He lamented the demise of the small farmer, the same whose votes decades past supported entitlements. I mentioned how the Republican Party nominations were radicalizing into Tea Party candidates, and how they were Klan. He mentioned Monsanto critically, saying it had been involved in the production of Agent Orange. Then he started to tell me not to trust Whole Foods, he had read on the Internet that they were stocking Monsanto products, he would download the article for me since he assumed I came to library often. He then said he was for the Tea Party. I walked in the library, sat down with the newspaper funnies, he at the computers. After awhile, he comes over holding some papers, the article he had promised me, and says with a growl, here it is. I say thank you and put it in my bag. It was an article printed from the Nutrition Research Center dot org. I left the library, went home, tore the article in half without reading it, and placed in in the recyclable bin.

Another ineluctable opponent of the constitution of the United States: Senator Tom Coburn from Oklahoma.

Today he thought it opportune to claim that President Obama wanted people dependent on programs like he used to get somewhere, since they were for African Americans, who had all the advantages of the world.

What he means:

That he begrudges even the slightest help to overcome economic disparity among Americans just because they're African Americans. And by the way, while he's at it, why remedy economic disparity at all? With such anti-constitutional attitudes it's easy to see how he, Bachmann and Perry, if ever elected to the presidency, would rather not fund the military. Who would the latter swear to?

In the meantime there's a George Wilbur Bush and Bill Clinton fund aiding Haitian earthquake victims. Which is a very nice thing, considering the times.

Oh, by the way, it's 20% who favor the Klan through the Tea Party, and an additional 17% that think they're not represented enough. That's a handful for the authorities to concentrate on. Increase funding!

Concerning the "Race" of current "politics"

Tonight on The Ed Show on MSNBC there was a clip on an African American caucus (what does the word white caucus imply?). Its leader, a woman, was saying how she and they would not abandon Barack Obama because after all, he was the Country's first Black president. What does this mean. It's oppressive, so was the weight of another program with an African American conductor recalling how Michelle Obama's past disappointment in her Country was criticized, while Michelle Bachmann's same comment was not, and from what extremely different experiences these comments come forth. It's oppressive. And stupid. Michelle Obama's comment was voiced from the side of the victim of an unimaginable crime. Bachmann's of the criminal who committed it. To imagine the abomination of slavery, the isolation, the weaving of that immense violation in the cultural consciousness of so many different peoples. What does it mean to support a president only because of his "race"? I've never seen myself as white, I've never seen myself as being anything other than me, I've never accepted anything other than merit as a parameter. But I still remember the shock when I was called a "wop"the first time. It didn't lead me to calling the person who said that anything comparable. I said nothing. To a comment so unconnected to any scale of values one can only say nothing. There is no "racist" language, it's only a pseudo language with no connections to reality, but a pseudo culture that centers itself around a victim, who by necessity is the other's imagination. Hence the cliches'.
I could say slavery has been around for millennia, with Greek kingships that warred with one another and enslaved the vanquished, to those of other cultures, Egyptian, Hebrew as a temporary state of seven years determined by crimes committed. Still.African cultures assaulted neighboring villages or abducted them when vulnerable selling them to slave traders, if not being their owners themselves. Turks were slavers of Europeans. And this is a smattering of inhuman behavior. We have to attest to its new formation here in the States, the Tea Party, or 20% of the population of the United States, who say they favor it. I see it only as a criminal matter. What jars me though is hearing comments such as we are not a Post Racist society by the African American conductor because again, that's creating a society out of a pseudo society, or a commonality of criminals. Why should I see violent prevarication and the victimization of others based on "race" by a criminal anything other than it is? There are mass murderers in this world. They're easy to see and understand as criminals, how isn't a racist and a slavist when destruction and harm of the victimized other is posited by them?

I can't relate to the President. Besides doing well for himself, as his wife says,he's cut Social Security cost of living increases for two years already, claiming that costs did not rise. Most everything at the supermarket is at the $5.00 starter price. Unions are asked to sacrifice, workers are out of jobs, Pell college grants now cover 1/4 of the costs of school while twenty years ago they covered half. School loans are repayable immediately. 500,000 Federal, State and Local Public jobs have disappeared and we know, because we are not fools, that it's a progression leading to the elimination of the Federal Government in favor of a Secessionist, criminal State system. Members elected to Congress are dismantling the Government. Trade systems like Clinton's NAFTA harmed U.S. industry, as sustaining off shoring does as well. Goods are shoddy and made of cheap breakable plastics and nothing has the longevity it once did. Services like computer programs and cable are priced outrageously high, old models replaced by new models so quickly one can hardly keep up with the pace. In Texas 71% with no health insurance have jobs and 700 billion has been allotted to nuclear build-up while 647 has been cut from an agency that secures enriched uranium for sale on the world's black market by keeping it away from terrorists. There are planned cuts to the military: they haven't contributed much to the people on the super budgetary committee, while financiers have. Let's hope they did so out of a sense of civic duty, not to collect favors from elected representatives. We need to secure equality for all again as the ruling principle for the social, cultural and economic bases of our country, and it must be done with strength and efficacy. It's jobs for people, not people for jobs. I don't see this president doing anything other than contributing to the dismantling of the public sector, when the public sector in any country must be strong. You want to destroy the country, destroy its government. The true measure of a country is how its economically disadvantaged are treated, and we're not doing very well in this soon to be banana republic. So the president doesn't represent me, but for now the privileged.Cuts are bad for the economy not good. I thank him for being concerned about unemployment benefits, but they should be higher and last until the person has secured another job. That'll be a stimulus to work on jobs for the ungenerous. All these not so new developments weaken us and make us vulnerable to the enemy. So, as much as you can, stock up, put up a fight, don't fix anything of the enemy's, don't take no for an answer, don't take a false yes for one either and we can win this thing and turn things around in a better New Deal than the last one. Oh, and if Texas received 17 billion in stimulus money, and Perry is taking the credit for it, we gave the money to the wrong people and businesses again. Why not stimulus businesses public sector and people who are for equality, since equality is legality, and that means affording a decent living wage for everybody who shares and sustains those beliefs. You've got 20% of the population that is willing to bleed us dry if we let them, and will recriminate and destroy the very existence of this country's tenets of democracy, equality, and civil rights if you give them half a chance.Stop helping them.

The sad part is how you help them when you assume all of Texas is of the same mind, or how it's plausible that a Nazi or a Klans man or anybody with a supremacy complex can be elected to any post lower than the presidency, and if he does make it to the presidency, then he's just shutting up.Or how a Nazi can only originate in the Republican Party. Then it's bias and cliched thinking that kills the country, not the country that kills bias and cliched thinking. How hard is it really to react with indignation to these criminals and not call the authorities when they first try to organize? Moreso, WHY?

"Actions speak louder than words"?!?!?!?!?!

Hey, if Perry thinks that's a fit reply to the President cautioning him, have the FBI interview him on why in his evangelical meetings Catholics and Jews weren't admitted.

The man was a Democrat, Bush's team recruited him as lieutenant governor until he finally broke and called Bush a Country Club Republican (he couldn't spell Jew).

It seems to me that with the advent of the Tea Party (it's the klan, it's the klan, it's the klan), it's damaging to not recognize their rise in the Republican party.
For that matter Perry was a Democrat until offered the lieutenant governorship by George Bush. It's time to look and see who plays games that damage our civil rights, it's time to include economic disparity on the list of categories not to discriminate against. Let that be the guiding light to new job creation, which should strengthen the federal government increasing its fiscal responsibility. First steps first: unemployment benefits should be increased and extended until work is found, and entitlements should be increased and extended to help where help is needed and needed immediately, then work on a job package that is articulated on civil rights and its values, not competitiveness, and fight against coup d'etatist home grow terrorism in the United States and well as terrorism abroad. And remember racism means racism, not only the klan is responsible for hate crimes.

China is turning on its migrant workers (they'll have to drop the "People" soon);
Today Port Authority and labor unions got in fights with Staten Island over$1,$2 to $4 commuter increases that would ensure work for the unions. But then again, Staten island wanted to secede from New York, and now it's complaining that they and Northern Jersey did not receive Federal help for the project. Make up your mind.
Today in Politics: If you see America as big and bold and generous, Mr. President, why is the next Democratic Convention being held in a Non-Union hotel?

Okay. The President is beleaguered by a Congress full of monsters who see this rightist shift in the Democratic Party as its occasion to uncover its true nature of racists, mass murderers, anticonstitutionalists experts in greed and ignoramuses in economics, citizenship, culture and religion among much else. Okay. A law that would have put hundreds of thousands of people at work under a governmental aegis, also as police and as firefighters didn't even make it out of the committee (doesn't the president want to support business and sees a lesser role played by government in economics as well? And why is that?). Okay, you have jackasses like Perry obsess about the President and hanging the Federal Reserve Board like the secessionist racist economy destroyer he is: it's appalling that in 2011 I still have to hear idiots make a particular "race" or "races"* an electoral ticket choice to defeat or destroy, let alone people having to fight for their equality based on their sexual preference, which is no one's business but theirs. Okay, the President answered back by encouraging Perry to be cautious (well appreciated) but left the intimation in his sentence that all European descent people are like Perry wide open in his statement. Okay, there's angry Palestinians about. But then, if we go back to pre-1967 borders, Jerusalem is no longer the capital of the future Palestinian state, is it, but a city in Jordan.
Not okay, money and greed make people think up of names like Department of Competitiveness in an effort to condense at least two departments, when in times of economic trouble we should be expanding them and adding new governmental jobs. Not okay, the military is being cut; Not okay, so are entitlements; not okay, unions are being damaged, even by the Governor of New York, who asked them to choose between cuts or hundreds of thousands of firings (which is...!). Okay, we're up for a fight, don't we know it. But, Mr. President, are you or those like you in the Democratic Party? If things continue like this, all we can do is urge you to reconsider and return to the true mission the Democratic Party and not only the Democratic Party held up for itself, like the New Deal, or, as a columnist of The Nation advises, maybe we should all look for a new party to carry on the self-same mission. Changing the hotel for the convention is a good start.

More news about Perry and no veterans wanted to vote in Texas

Perry in his book writes that Social Security and Medicare are unconstitutional and to be terminated. Some substitution, as a good secessionist he is, would fall on the state level.

In the meantime, a veteran ID was no longer considered good ID to use at the voting poll in Texas until the Media got involved and now they're debating the issue;

This is no time to cut the budget but increase it: involve government directly in the creating of jobs, like the New Deal, and increase, not diminish allotments to entitlements like social security, medicare and medicaid and the military. A good fighting president would accomplish this.
Hey FBI and CIA: you've got Perry to worry about.

The guy is openly secessionist and somehow was elected governor of Texas without anyone raising so much as a claim of treason against him. Where are the files? The Tea Party supports him and Bachmann? Where are the files on them? Why not look into funding, support and more for him and Monster Bachmann and remember voting doesn't mean democratic process: $30 dollars a pop in Iowa Straw is the proof of the pudding. A vote for these creeps is a vote against the United States. We don't recognize Hamas as legitimately elected, and rightly so, why should we these jokers who want to close down Washington anyway?

Other tip, in case you weren't watching: Perry was in the military, before going back to his family cotton farm. Why not look into those contacts of his and FIRE them instead, doing the entire country a big favor?
Michelle "Monster"Bachmann and gays in the military

As president is ready to repeal the law allowing gays in the military (as if there needs to be a law for anyone to join the military, but that's another story). This means lay offs for all those who came out. Object!
The Chinese and the Pakistanis have problems

Not only did they advise to cut entitlements in the States (wasn't it the People's Republic of China?) but they're spying on our radar eluding helicopters, as in the one crashed during the Seal's Bin Laden mission. This also thanks to Pakistan. There's talk in Congress of cutting off all aid to Pakistan, (finally a good idea!) while others claim that it's a mistake because it's an unstable country with nuclear capabilities. So how does our aid or lack of it impede them going nuclear?
Harper's September issue prints some letters "by John Cutler, a surgeon with the U.S. Public Health Service, to doctors at the Marine Hospital in Staten Island, New York. Between 1946 and 1948, Cutler oversaw medical experiments in which hundreds of Guatemalan prisoners, soldiers, orphans, and mental health patients were deliberately infected with gonorrhea and syphilis. Cutler was later involved with the Tuskegee syphilis experiments, which monitored the progression of the disease in African-American subjects who believed they were receiving health care from the U.S. government. After Wellesley professor Susan Reverby exposed the Guatemala experiments last fall, President Barack Obama apologized to Guatemala. The National Archives released Cutler's full correspondence on March 29."

Why not bring those involved to justice and death sentence them as Nazi torturers and mass murderers? How don't the Nurnberg trials not set a precedent for crimes against humanity for non German national Nazis? Why do we need to apologize? How was this national policy, how could it have been? How has human experimentation been legal in this country? Why did Napolitano mild the report on extreme rightist terrorism when Conservatives balked? What the HELL is this?

From The New York Times, White House Debates Aggressive Approach on Economic Issues, August 14, 2011:

"The administration may also merge the Department of Commerce, the Office of the United States Trade Representative and some economic divisions at the State Department into a new agency, administration officials said. Possible names include the Department of Jobs or the Department of Competitiveness."

!
Obama and aggressiveness.

The New York Times reports talks in the administration on whether Obama should adopt a tougher attitude toward foaming at the mouth Republicans, or still be conciliatory. They thought is that no law will be passed and people will resent that should the White House attitude harden, but then he would have not abandoned the ship. Conciliatory attitudes will lead to new legislation being passed. But the president is still planning to tinker with entitlement programs, and still planning on giving money to businesses via another Stimulus plan to hire people when they, much like Pakistan and other countries, just keep the money and do what they want with it? Well, considering towns are declaring bankruptcy and not paying the pensions of public workers such as police officers, firemen and other civil servants, or limiting it to inane amounts such as $10,000 a year: How the HELL can you live in a house or apartment on 10,000 a year?)and these people receive NO Social Security, WHERE THE HELL IS THE DEBATE HERE? How the HELL can you not arrest Michelle Backmann for treason against the United States? Some Republicans use that so much, they're just thoroughly familiar with the charge. Just like Extreme Right winger anti-immigration racists in Europe claim that the Koran is like Mein Kampf. Not that extremist Muslims are not racist, anti-gay, anti-woman and in love with the idea of a theocracy so they can expose cut heads and hands without so much as a complaint, but who wouldn't think that some Muslims aren't so intent on the holy war, and are escaping dire, dire situations in their own countries? Why not expect the recent religious war trend to fall over in Europe, and consider it as fascistic and dangerous as European or American anti-immigration right wingers. For that matter, how much fun is it not to imagine an extremist Muslim immigrated in Europe or the United States and hating it as much as a Confederate supporter? Doesn't the proverb say that one's enemies should be closer than one's friends? If only one were to keep up withe the times, wouldn't it be racist not to consider the possibility of raging serial killers an impossibility as extremist Muslims? So, with adequate care, shouldn't we be able to contain this problem without claiming to do so by following suit out of jealousy?
Michelle Bachmann won the Straw Poll?

Okay. So it doesn't really determine the outcome of the Republican nomination. So it takes $30.00 to vote, provided, along with food, by the campaigners. Considering her pro-slavery take on things, why not turn all this information to the C.I.A. and the F.B.I. so that they can drone attack her and her ilk? Speaking of drone attacks, there was a person hired by Georgetown University who was encouraging the C.I.A. to greater transparency by suggesting that the agency should place videos of the missions on the Internet.Transparency? For an agency necessarily involved in covert action? For that matter, there was a recent art exhibition that seized STASI(Eastern German police) records and used them as art. They complained that STASI surveilled its own population. As an agency set up by an Eastern European block country after World War II, what should they have done? Said thank you to Germans that expressed no remorse for the murder of three million Soviet soldiers in Auschwitz there as prisoners of war? Taken that as a natural occurrence that the end of the war would have erased from human action once and for all and suddenly we're all better people?

Outrage of the epoch

Not only is the United States Postal Service solvent, but it has had to deposit its employee contributions for pension and health benefit funds into a governmental account that then uses the money to pay for other agencies whose budget allotments have been cut.

So all the rash closings of post offices, the planned 20% cuts in personnel and the 5 day service plans are not due to USPS, but to government spending cuts by Republicans and some Democrats.

Hey, if lower ranks of society are still taxed and paying for the highest, and the highest are doing nothing for our country, if a soldier's veteran benefits are cut or next to nothing while a corporation gets to pocket stimulus plan money without creating new jobs just to show Obama, why don't the highest get the hell out of here and take their political vote with them, just like the Stones left England as tax exiles? They can hire their own thugs as a military force ( not that they haven't) and live in a spaceship. But then they'll try to charge us for maintenance of the spaceship.

When is this going to STOP?
Write to your representatives, and to those responsible.

The Republican Debates Emeriti

With Michelle Bachmann looking like she could suddenly grab an axe and haul out into the audience yelling I Barack Obama went Barack Obama to Barack Obama the Barack Obama supermarket Barack Obama today Barack Obama, and Newt Gingrich wanting loyalty tests from Muslims since a Catholic turned out to be a spy and who knows what need there was to persecute Communists in the 50's in this country, with Santorum wanting a ban on abortion even for rapes and incest cases, saying the woman would be traumatized enough by these occurrences, so why add a trauma of an abortion, with Cain agreeing with Gingrich that the Unites States in the South, in his Georgia, are Protestant and Christian, so how could they understand any other religion (this all blatantly anti constitutional), with Mitt Romney buying businesses then firing masses of people, with Paul and Pawlenty wanting the end of the Fed (no friend of anyone who isn't a bank since they'll keep the interest rates on private bank accounts down for a few years to come, to reassure investors-yeah,but still, it's a central bank-have you ever heard of a country with no central bank? The idea got hoots and hollers as if it were a desired outcome by many)only Huntsman sounded half way tolerable, alone in claiming the debt ceiling raising a necessity (which it is for absolutely anyone in any country in any government) but wants only flat rate taxation for businesses, wants to lower EPA regulations and promises jobs even though his company (clamshell packaging for Mc Donalds was their fortune maker) and a chemical company to boot offshored to China and India, well, with this group of winners, even Barack Obama looks good. Couldn't we all vote for Barney Frank instead? (he nayed the latest version of the debt ceiling raising bill)

One odd statement from one of the candidates: he mentioned with energy and verve and a louder tone of voice that businesses could decide to raise their interest rates (for any stock market investor) if they so chose to, after all, it was their money...it received an ovation from the audience.

One thing to thank the president for though: after YEARS of debate, there finally is a rapprochement with Cuba. Now visitors can come and go from both shores, unperturbed. (Before they did with difficulties, now with less). Thanks for little favors.

It's not the politics, it's the taxes as revenue!

Is it so hard to call businesses, evaluating bodies, and investors greedy to the point of dysfunction when our rating dropped because we didn't accept a 4 trillion dollar spending cut package that was orchestrated by a Republican for big business and wealth and backed by an evaluating body which rates profitability in investing in debt? The budget planned is still trash, cuts for 2 trillion dollars, but it includes tax revenue and that sends the market collapsing and will drive up the interest rates on borrowing and mortgages and our governmental expenditures, which is profiteering? Two trillion is what we can expect from taxes if we undo Bush's cuts, but that doesn't suit Standard and Poor. The president has been beleaguered by filibusters, but his and others' attitude about cutting spending doesn't really make him or them seem on our side. In my county, a Social Security office had to close and now they're cutting overtime for workers by closing half an hour early because the money earmarked by President Obama wasn't delivered. Why claim it's politics? It's just greed, homicidal meanness, shortsightedness and unforgivable amounts of ignorance. A country cannot be sustained on these qualities. It's not that Republicans and Democrats can't get along: Someone wants us to die socially, economically and why not, physically, for not being multi-billionaires, and it's a little too naive to act like the responsible parent of someone who doesn't feel so cozily inclined toward you. F.D.R. reveled in his enemy's hatred and was an effective leader because of that. Enemies are not children, they're every bit as maliciously inclined toward you as anybody intent on evil. And some people are selfishly evil. Not recognizing the existence of evil does nobody any good. It doesn't make you like them. They demonize others. You recognize it's evil to do just that and fight against it. This just allows you to know them, to know what they're capable of and to protect those who aren't like them as you should. Nobody is saying that people aren't inherently good: if not life as we know it would be unsustainable. But there are those who aren't, for whatever reason: their effect on others needs to be curtailed.

And while I'm at it, the helicopter crash in the Middle East was reported by Italian news to have been caused by an insider leak. If this isn't verified, why not at least posit it in U.S. news? Why are we financing countries that want us dead, and favor the Taleban even when they suffer deaths of civilians, but hate NATO forces when the same occurs, with less frequency and as accidental actions? Why isn't there a plan to bring about freedom and democracy to the Middle East that doesn't involve such high losses of life, how to start in countries that have their relatives murdered because two people from two different tribes want to marry? Or that are racist and twist religion into a tool for absolute domination and harm women, who are considered inferior to men, with all the consequences such thought brings? How are our deaths palliated by memorial services? There is no peace that can come in any psychological closure to the events like the helicopter crash. They died for our freedom: those who killed them, those who wanted them dead must pay for the lives they took, for lives that were fighting for life and equality for all.

The Downgrade and more

So it finally happened: Standard and Poor downgraded our ratings to AA+ due to political difficulties. This means an increase in interest for borrowing by the government, businesses and home mortgagers. All because Congress can't be trusted to cut spending by 4 trillion. When will all the claims that debt must be cut by not spending be revealed as empty rhetoric? What's to stop us from opening our eyes and seeing how privilege and greed is organizing in far rightist organizations to subvert democracy and equality and is homicidal? The recent congressional debacle is articulating an internal enemy to the American people quite formidably, and a non confrontational president who doesn't side with liberals and is seen by Chris Matthews as a closet conservative is not the answer. The tea party members want war? Let them reap it. Let us not cede. Let's not cut spending but increase it, and increase taxes as well. Bush increased the debt ceiling seven times with no objection. Obama is considered a socialist, attempts to raise the debt ceiling and is met by a barrage of extreme right inanities that has raised interest charges even for the constitutency foaming at the mouth against Democrats? Besides which, what is the extreme right doing in Congress? For that matter, all this talk about ungodliness of China, let's say, is anti constitutional, since it's illegal to discriminate against any belief or lack of belief. When will constitutional issues be used as a measuring stick for admission in congress: how is it not obvious that a nay vote on the latest bill for the debt ceiling by Republicans is discriminatory, while a Democratic nay was not? What is the FBI doing recommending reading the Jihad Watch's author books on Islam when the same author was discussed extensively by that Norwegian mass murderer and why can't he be tried for crimes against humanity? Why does CNN broadcast emails decrying free cellphones for the poor programs as too much for an average envious, malicious and greedy person to bear, not consider these comments originating from people who should be looked into more closely by the authorities, and read only one email saying that cellphones for the poor with up to 250 minutes are a good idea, even for safety reasons? Why don't they complain instead that those who could well afford an increase in taxes to finance these programs are not, the brunt of the payments being on the poor and the middle class? How can they protect the privileged and not realize that accepting discrimination brings others to discriminate against them? How is blaming the poor or other groups at risk not simply inhuman targeting? And how trusted to follow the law can be people who went in tens of thousands to public executions, or to lynchings? What does that say about their mindset? What does that say about their curiosity? How can one fault liberal politics when they take into account everyone in the country, regardless of economic status, and not organize it as the leading thought of the country? How hard is it to realize that like it or not, our fault or not, we have enemies and need a strong military to sustain ourselves as a nation, to defend our people? How hard is it to decide to fight, really fight this rightist upswing that has been cursing the United States for so long, without giving in, without relinquishing power but acquiring it to allow every American a decent living and protection from poverty? How can a government not pass laws to strengthen businesses at home and preserve fair wages for workers in the States, and fight for the same wages offshore? Isn't it anti constitutional to union bust? One good choice was made recently: to create a department to study inhumanity and humanitarian crises so as to better reaction times in their event, to prevent deaths, and to prevent conflicts from escalating? Isn't that in synch with our constitution's intent? How was supporting the golpe in Chile, our Central American policy, the Cold War, the Korean war, the Vietnam war and more bad policy decisions correct policy decisions, all because criminals demonized concepts like Socialism and Communism, so much so even the president of the United States is conditioned by that prejudice? How rational is it to go to war based on prejudice? How productive is it to go to war based on greed? How not to realize that notwithstanding other faults of the countries in question, even some of their inherent racism and excesses, such as the past threat of a war between the Soviet Union and China, both Communist countries at the time, the theoretical basis for the thought is sound and just? Think of the mindset that wants to starve union workers and deprive them of their right for bargaining: it's slavery, injustice, discrimination, and mass murdering intent. It's all that is repulsive and criminal in human beings. The tea party wants to play hardball?: Then declare them criminals and have it done with.Throw them out. Have the authorities start to investigate their lawmaking and votes as crimes against the United States. Who can stand Prince Orrin Hatch anymore anyway, or, for that matter, products that celebrate themselves as kings in their field? I never felt threatened by someone's wealth and always thought everyone should have a sound economic base not to live inhumanly. How is depriving the poor anything but criminal? How aren't these acts not envisioned as crimes by law enforcement, when its members are not beating mentally ill homeless to death, as they recently have in California? People are treacherous, when intent on evil. I just recently was looking at a $21.00 workbook for bipolar dialectical therapy. It seemed concerned with bettering the ill until I came on a chapter asking the patient to analyze how certain foods, including pickled, could adversely affect one's mental stability. Condemning pickles and those who eat them was a common tactic used by racists and anti immigration obsessives against those people who at the turn of the 19th century immigrated to the States: Jews, Southern Europeans. This until immigration quotas were established. Sick to see it cross over to the care of the mentally ill. They're right in place for the next mass murder. Why not eject them from their positions of power NOW?
